Come party with us in Mexico
First things first, we know that destination weddings aren’t for everyone! There’s no pressure to come; we’re just inviting friends and family to an all-inclusive resort to vacation with, where we’ll happen to have a casual wedding. So here’s the no-fluff, necessary info only section. Keep scrolling past this section for the Type A’s and the plus ones who will want to know everything else.
When & Where
Saturday, May 23, 2026 11:00am at the Valentin Imperial Riveria Maya in Playa del Carmen, Mexico
RSVP
Please text RSVP to 443-225-1999. This is just a quick headcount that we’ll need for the resort.
Booking
Thanks to everyone who booked on the room block. If you’re viewing this after Jan 8th, book on the resort site and please let us know if you’ve done so.
Flights
Book your flights whenever and however you want to Cancun(CUN). They are predicted to be cheapest in February. Don’t forget to check your passport!
Nice To Knows
RSVP
Plus ones are welcome! Children are not, the resort is 18+ only. We’ll be using a chatbot to collect RSVPs. To get started, text RSVP to 443-225-1999. It’s a quick text convo to collect info on who’s joining.
Booking
Most people will be staying MDW from May 22nd to May 25th(3 night minimum) but some people are turning it into a longer vacation and staying for 5-7 nights! We will be staying from May 21st to May 27th.
BOOKING: Book here to be in the room block at a discounted rate(about $270/night/person). The code is 0523. You must be paid in full by January 8th to get the room block rates! If youre seeing this after Jan8th, you can book on the resort site or any other 3rd party. Please let us know if you book this way!
If you want something other than the cheapest few room options available in our block and want to book a more expensive room or suite, you can explore all the room options on their site or app. You can download the Valentine Imperial App here. Further app instructions below under Resort. If you see a room you like, reach out to our travel agent(info below) to get the best rates.
CHANGES OR QUESTIONS: If you have questions or need to make changes to your booking, please reach out to Pat, our travel coordinator. Email: [email protected] | Phone: 877-737-0177 ext 213
FLIGHTS: Book your own flights whenever and however you want! The best airport to fly into is the Cancun International Airport (CUN).
PASSPORTS are required to enter Mexico. Please confirm that the name on your passport matches your airline ticket information.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS: The ride from the airport to the resort is 25-30 minutes. When you book your stay through the room block link, there is an option to add a round-trip transfer from/to the aiport for $86 per person. That is likely more expensive than Uber and airport taxis, but requires less work. Choose how you see fit. PS I think you can get a free shuttle from Valentin if you’re staying 5+ nights, booking through them, and want to sign up for their rewards program.
Resort
– This resort is adults only, so we ask that only guests 18 and over join us.

Wedding
Optional: the night before the wedding, Friday the 22nd, we will be doing an informal, self-made welcome bar crawl. Join in anytime!
8pm Martini Bar (#22)
9pm Don Miguel (#23)
10pm Plaza Espana (#26)
11pm Sports Bar (#24)
The ceremony will be a quick one, starting at 11am on Saturday, May 23 at the Gazebo(on the map). Bring a drink if you want, because there is no bar at the Gazebo. No responsibilities after. We will probably be finishing up pictures, grabbing lunch, and then going to the pool. There will be a DJ or live music that night in the plaza area to top off the celebratory day.
Wedding attire: the low end is “beach casual” but go all out if you want; do your thing. Here is an inspo pic for the ladies.
